This is not just another role. You will manage a diverse and often high-acuity caseload, including:✅ Emergency presentations across all age groups
✅ Trauma and retrieval stabilisation
✅ Chronic disease in a remote context
✅ Tropical and Indigenous health medicine
For Procedural (Obstetrics) practitioners, you’ll maintain and develop skills in:✅ Emergency caesarean sections
✅ Antenatal and postnatal services
✅ Neonatal resuscitation
✅ Fracture reductions
✅ Acute trauma care
✅ Maternity care in a rural generalist setting
Clinical support and environmentYou’ll be part of a well-supported Rural Generalist model with:✅ A collaborative team of experienced DMO and visiting specialists
✅ Access to telehealth support, retrieval service, and tertiary escalation pathways
✅ Opportunities to supervise, mentor, and contribute to service development

Remuneration:✅
DMO Non-Procedural – MP Year 1-6: $481,620.08 - $602,976.32*
✅
DMO Procedural (Obstetrics) – MP Year 1-3: $550,858.26 - $602,976.32*
✅
Rural Generalist – Year 1-6: $550,859.38 - $684,457.01*
*Inclusive of base salary, 12% superannuation and PD allowance. Classification and level will be determined based on your qualifications, certifications, experience.The successful applicant will hold:✅ Specialist registration with AHPRA - without restrictions.
✅ Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM.
✅ Formal post graduate qualification in obstetrics or equivalent extensive experience.
✅ A record of appropriate Emergency Department skill maintenance in the last triennium: ACLS / APLS / EMST / GCCA (or equivalent).
